Hello I’m Hannah. I’m married to my husband Josef and we have two gorgeous girls (I am biased). We moved to Holmfirth in 2015, just before our second daughter was born. The reason for our move was quite simple, we fell in love with the area, the people, the way of life and wanted that for our children.
My background is sales. Although I loved doing what I did, I adore children and becoming a childminder has enabled me to do what I love the most. I love seeing how children grow and how they develop. I love engaging with them, understanding them and guiding them. Encouraging them to become the little people they want to be; our future generation.
I attend regular training courses & have a current Pediatric First Aid certificate. I have a certificate to child mind and I am Ofsted registered as well as being a member of PACEY.
I am an open book, and appreciate this is perhaps one of the biggest choices you’ll have to make to date, so if you have any questions regarding anything, if you fancy a chat or wish to look around the setting feel free to contact me.
About my setting
Sunny Starts Childminding is situated on New Mill Road, Holmfirth. It is a three bedroomed bungalow. When we purchased the property in 2015, we bought it and renovated it with children in mind. Safety is paramount and as everything is on one level it provides a free flow of fun and gives parents and carers piece of mind that their children are never far away or out of sight.
We have a dedicated playroom and children’s outside play area with playground graded safety tiles. There are a wide range of toys for all ages, whether it is a baby’s sensory basket, wooden toolbox, play kitchen or mud kitchen or perhaps the children might want to snuggle down with a good book. Messy play such as painting, mark marking or digging in jelly is high on the agenda. The children can come and play, make a mess and grow without you, the parents or carers, having to do the cleaning up!
Regular trips out to the park, library or soft play centre make weekly appearances. Along with organised visits such as Cannon Hall Farm, Wigfield Farm, Kirklees Railway and other local attractions.
